Because of Recent Changes in the LTC laws, classroom time has been reduced to 4-6 hours (excluding range time)
The following procedures (DPS registration and Fingerprints) are NOT mandatory to complete before taking the class.
The Department of Public Safety strongly urges that all applicants complete the paperwork of the application process on their website : DPS website. This should decrease administrative time, cost and turnaround time to receive your license. During the registration process, you must pay the state fee with an approved credit card.

valid driver license or identification card
Current address, contact, and employment information
Residential and employment information for the last five years (new users only)
Information regarding any psychiatric, drug, alcohol, or criminal history (new users only)
Valid email address, and
Valid credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, or American Express)
